We all have a story to tell...
My Story
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Emory & Henry College and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I have held positions in various therapeutic settings, to include acute inpatient adult psychiatric hospitalization, outpatient Partial Hospitalization, community mental health, early childhood education, Child Protective Services, Elder Care, and outpatient counseling. Prior to seeking my Master's degree and professional license, I shifted my focus to raising my three children and was a stay-home mom for 18 years. My experiences have equipped me to help those of all ages, across all socio and economic backgrounds, and seasons of life.

A Mindful Heart Approach

My work with clients stems from the belief that you are the expert on your life, your innermost thoughts, feelings, and experiences and that my role is to assist you in increasing your awareness to how these factors influence your relationships to yourself, others, and your environments. I believe we are all stronger than we know. I believe that once we are provided with open, authentic, compassionate, and nonjudgmental support, we can more easily address and overcome the large and small challenges of life to become our most authentic and actualized selves. It would be my privilege to work with you in achieving goals of living more mindfully, more self-informed, and more aligned to your values.
